  • Are your products shipped fresh or frozen?

    In order to maximize the integrity of our products, many items are flash frozen once packaged. This ensures quality and consistency during transit. If you are interested in purchasing fresh products only, please contact our customer service department at 973-917-3155.
  • Are your shipping boxes recyclable?

    Yes, our packaging is fully recyclable.
  • Are your shipping materials environmentally friendly?

    Our shipping boxes, inserts and cooler packs are completely recyclable and made from plant based materials.
  • Can I choose a longer shipping method to save money?

    If you live in an area that is farther away than our one day shipping zone, we will only use a method to keep the package in transit up to 2 days.  This is because after 2 days, the product would be in transit too long, causing a high likelihood of spoilage.   • Can I get a Saturday delivery?

    UPS does not deliver on the weekends, so Saturday, Sunday or Monday delivery is not available. Our shipping days are Monday - Thursdays only.

  • Can I get same day delivery?

    Same day delivery via UPS is not available, but same day pickup can be arranged through our retail store.  Orders can be processed and shipped same day if received by 12pm EST.
  • Can I pay the difference to upgrade to Next Day Air when am already getting free 2nd day or Ground Shipping on my order over $175?

    If you want to upgrade any order to UPS next day air saver, you must pay for the Next Day Air service entirely, we cannot add on the difference.
  • Can I pick a delivery date?

    Yes, you can request a delivery date at checkout for up to 45 days in advance.  Please note that these are requests, not guaranteed dates of delivery.
  • Can I upgrade my shipping to get my order faster?

    Yes - you can upgrade to next day air and pay the difference from your original shipping method. If you received free shipping for your order over $175, you must pay the entire cost for Next Day Air to upgrade.
  • Can i use a promotional discount as well as the military discount for my order?

    Only one promotional discount is honored per order, so you would have to choose between the military discount or the current promotion.
  • Can you ship my order with any other carriers?

    At this time we are unable to ship with any other carriers, as we work exclusively with UPS.
  • Can you ship to a P.O. Box?

    We cannot ship UPS packages to a P.O. Box, we must have a street address.
  • Do I have to sign for delivery?

    No, a signature is not required for delivery, however, UPS driver reserve the right to not leave the package if they feel it is an unsafe or public area.  This does not apply to apartment buildings with communal mail rooms.
  • Do you deliver on weekends?

    UPS does  not  deliver packages on weekends.  All deliveries occur Tuesday - Friday.
  • Do you offer any kind of insurance for shipments over a certain amount of product?

    At this time UPS has suspended all guarantees and insurance policies for all shipments other than Next Day Air.  All Next Day Air shipments are guaranteed by UPS and by Fossil Farms.
  • Do you offer flat rate shipping?

    If you spend $175 or more on product, we offer complimentary UPS Ground and UPS 2nd day air shipping.  This offer does not apply to UPS Next Day Air.

  • Do you ship to a UPS Store?

    Yes, we can ship your order to a UPS store if you enter the store's address as the delivery address and your name to identify the package.

  • How do you pack products for shipping?

    Our products are shipped in a cooler box with ice brick, ice mats and dry ice.  We use extra dry ice in the summer months but it is designed to sublimate by the time it reaches you.
  • How do you ship your orders?

    We use UPS for all our shipping needs.
  • How long before my order ships?

    Your order will ship either 1 to 2 days before your requested delivery date, based on the shipping method you chose at checkout.  We do not ship any method that takes longer than 2 days in transit.
  • How long can my package stay outside after delivery?

    We strongly recommend someone be home for the delivery, however, we do pack the cooler with several types of ice so it could sit outside for several hours, depending on where you are located and what the current weather conditions are.
  • How much does shipping cost?

    Shipping costs are based on weight and the UPS negotiated rates direct from their site, plus a $20 box charge that covers our shipping box and materials. If you spend $175 or more in product, we offer FREE UPS ground and 2nd Day Air shipping!  That is AMAZING!
  • I can't find my tracking number! Help!

  • Is your meat USDA Certified?

    We operate in an FDA inspected facility.  Because we do not do any processing of any kind, a USDA certification would not apply to our location.  All of the processors we work with operate in USDA inspected facilities.

  • What if i find dry ice in the box?

    If any remaining dry ice is in your shipping box, do not handle with bare hands.  Use a glove to remove and dispose of it.
  • What if my shipment is delayed - will it still be good?

    If your order is delayed, we will contact UPS to attempt to expedite the delivery or correct any address issues.  Once it is in the carriers hands, there is little else we can do, however, if there is damage to package, we will always work with you to correct that issue!
